Reason #932 I'm Glad I Quit Grad School:

It's Monday evening and instead of sitting in class I just enjoyed making French Vanilla ice cream (from scratch) with Milo. Eating it wasn't so bad either! Man, there's nothing quite like injecting heavy cream, half-and-half, and multiple egg yolks directly into the veins.

I could get used to this kindda livin'. Mundane for most, I'm sure, but I'm having the time of my life. I'm fairly certain I've messed around and landed a full-time job in the research facility at the hospital, but it'll remain fairly flexible and won't eat into my family time.

Can't seem to get a good picture of Baz these days. He's too fast, I'm not fast enough, and his face is really dark. He's twenty pounds and teething like a hyenia (um, okay, I give, I don't really know how a hyenia teeths, but I imagine it's something crazylike). Milo's taught him a new trick and calls out "Bazbeaux hugs" and the dog'll come running and give Milo hugs. The darned think actually puts his paws behind Milo's head, snuggles his nose behind the kid's ear, and hugs him.

So, yeah, I've had my head outta the news for awhile following the recent Sueppel family incident. I'll get back to less mundane entries one of these days. Until then, if you listen to Pandora.com radio be sure and check out Go-Betweens Radio. It makes my day.
Oh yeah, I wore a faux hawk today in solidarity with the Christopher Walken SNL family reunion. If only...
